 note = {本稿は、いのちが希薄化した今日の社会情勢に鑑み、いのちの重み、大切さを実感できるような、実践的で本質的ないのちの授業を構想することがねらいであり、そのために過去の教育実践を紐解き、そのエッセンスを汲み取ることを主眼とする。横浜の浜之郷小学校の校長、大瀬敏昭氏は自身の闘病から死に至るまでを、その死と直面しつつ生きる心情、絶望と恐れ、希望と勇気を、それらを与えてくれた絵本との出会いというかたちで子どもたちに紹介していく。彼の自己の病状を包み隠さず、平易な言葉で子どもたちに語りかけていく「いのちの授業」の実践記録が、我々に示唆するところは大きい。それは、我々自身が人生から問われたものとして、真摯に日々生きる姿の中にこそ、真の「いのちの授業」が生まれてくるというものであり、また、最後まで学び続け変わることが人間の可能性であり、その点で死は人間にとって成熟する最後のチャンスであるということである。, The aim of this thesis is to develop such a lecture as enables children to experience the importance of life, and to learn from the past teaching practices.
